Pepler Lee Events welcomes new event co-ordinator
It’s been a busy few weeks at Pepler Lee Events, particularly because we are busy expanding the team! We are therefore delighted to announce the recruitment of Clementine Laforest-Turner as our brand new event co-ordinator.
Clementine has worked in the events industry for the past six years and is a graduate of the UK’s Brighton Business School. Beginning her career on the venue side of events Clementine worked her way up from events assistant, to supervisor, to event co-ordinator.
She says: “What drew me to the events industry the most is that it is very fast paced and no two events are the same. As an event co-ordinator I love being in the thick of things while the events are going on.
“I enjoy getting to know lots of different people and building working relationships with different suppliers and clients.
“It can be very long hours but there’s no better feeling than at the end of an event when the client is really happy with what you have produced.”
As Clementine is half French loves the opportunity to be able to speak French with international clients and suppliers.
When she’s not event planning Clementine says she can be found baking cakes or at a gym class (to burn off the cake). She’s therefore very excited about the opportunity to help plan one of Pepler Lee Events’ famous Bake Off experience for clients (which you can read about here).
Her other passion is music. While her favourite band is Muse, Clementine says she is equally at home singing along to Abba and is a huge fan of the musical Mamma Mia.
It’s no surprise then that she believes music plays an integral part in creating an engaging event.
She says: “Music sets the tone and creates the atmosphere of an event. Regardless of the event people tend to relax more if there is music rather than silence to fill and it helps build anticipation.”
Mark Pepler, managing director of Pepler Lee Events, says: “We are really excited to have Clementine join the team; she brings timely and strong support. We have a number of large events and a congress in the next eight months so it is a very exciting time for us.
"Clementine is a very capable event planner, plus having a genuine French speaker has already helped with an event we have in Morocco!”
